Supernatural; Castiel
Art work for the Dean/Castiel Big Bang on Livejournal! I worked with the fabulous DeathJunkE, ~RageofDays.
In the Eye of Heaven: When Castiel gets wind of Raphael’s plan to go to the past to kill Samuel Winchester, he has to act. In the past, Castiel meets Dean as a kid and a teenager and tries to keep him safe, despite his rapidly depleting Grace. Finally, Castiel’s Grace is all gone and he is forced to leave Dean and Sam’s wellbeing in the hands of the only person he can ever trust when all of heaven is becoming corrupt, Himself.
This one didn't deviate from the original sketches a lot.The only thing I ever changed after the pencilled lineart were the wings. I kept screwing them up, and I was really frustrated, so the day before post day, I erased all the feathers and wings and just started fresh. The lights in the wings are based on nebula. On my tumblr I stumbled onto an online nebula maker and kinda fell in love. I drew the fucker by hand because the program refused to give me the nebula lights without the black background, and I really didn't want to try and separate them by hand.
